Some stories just stay with you — and this one, with a beautiful Australian couple eloping in Florence, is definitely one of those.
They started their day in my favorite spot in the whole city: Piazza della Signoria. If you’ve ever been there, you’ll know why I love it so much. It’s one of the oldest and most important squares in Florence, surrounded by history, statues, and that magic buzz only this city has. They got ready there, right in the middle of centuries of stories — and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
The ceremony took place inside the Sala Rossa, which is basically the heart of Florence’s city hall, tucked inside the magnificent Palazzo Vecchio. I’ve seen a lot of emotional moments, but this one hit different. The atmosphere was so intimate, so full of meaning — you could feel the love bouncing off those red walls.
After the “I do’s”, we took a stroll through Florence for a quick couple shoot. We wandered past quiet corners, charming alleys, and those dreamy florentine rooftops. Then we waited for the sunset — and oh wow, it did not disappoint. The city lit up in the warmest tones, wrapping the day in a soft golden glow. Pure magic.
Elopements like this are a reminder of how simple, meaningful, and beautiful love can be — especially when it’s celebrated in a place like Florence.
