Ok, I admit it. I love shooting in San Galgano Abbey, one of the gem we have in Tuscany. Can you blame me ?
When I got the first e-mail from Mari, a spanish girl living in Australia, I already felt that this could be a fun wedding and now I can say that my feelings were right from the start.
A very romantic wedding made of vows, poems, an opera singer and string, a beautiful setting and, most important, a couple in love.
They day started early with the bride getting ready, Mari was a very relaxed and funny bride to work with and surely it helped having the amazing Giulia Cresci (www.giuliamakeup.com) as make up artist, one of the most professional and relaxed vendors you can find in our wedding and fashion industry.
While my second shooter was shooting the Groom’s getting ready I had the chance to shot some details pictures of the rings and getting in the mood for this special wedding with the help of my friend and fellow videomaker Fabio Bertiè (www.fabiobertie.com), another great vendors to work with, a funny and professional guy from Lazio.
Then it was time for the ceremony in the ancient San Galgano Abbery, one of the most iconic abbey in Tuscany, just imagine being there, inside an old abbey with no roof, the warm rays of light caressing you while a beautiful ceremony was held. Believe me, it was a wonderful time.
After the ceremony we took our 10 minutes photoshoot (as usual, I like to be quick and you do not need to much times when you have ideas) then we headed for Bichi Borghesi (www.bichiborghesi.it ), a very nice location with a long entrance surrounded by flowers and green bushes that we used for a couple of pictures.
During dinner there were speeches, laugh, wine and our famous tuscan food that helped the people getting ready for the party that started just after the first dance.
it was a very fun wedding indeed, a mix of spanish and italian people and traditions, a lot of laugh and, I like to think, some very good pictures.
